ABAC 5.4.7 Nature Study Area
The nature study area is 24 acres managed by the ABAC Wildlife Society. The area includes a green tree reservoir and pond (1-acre), grass flats, 0.5 miles of walking trails, and diverse habitats such as a large mixed pine forest (5 acres), early successional scrub (3.5 acres), and pollinator areas (1.5 acres). Students gain hands-on experience through prescribed burns, invasive species control, and native plan conservation, making it an ideal learning site.
